Goal 1 Local Councils pass resolutions supporting Fairtrade. Need to ask Town Council and Area Board about the use of FT Tea & Coffee Measuring Success Need to Secure Resolutions from as many Parishes as possible – Action: Chase Parish Clerks

6 Goal 2 - AUDITS Fairtrade product ranges are readily available in the area’s shops and retail outlets: Priority 1 Town Retail Outlets Minimum Target: Products 4 Outlets 5 Town Catering Outlets Minimum Target: Products 2 Outlets 3 Updated POSITIVE Audits: Retail: Coop Food , Sainsbury’s Catering: Divine on the Green Café, Flying Pig Cake Emporium Measuring Success Good POSITIVE progress Continue Audits – Lets refresh our commitment to getting these done.

7 Goal 3 Updated POSITIVE Audits:
Fairtrade* products are used by an appropriate number of local work places: (Offices, shops, B&Bs, Hotels (residents only) etc.) Updated POSITIVE Audits: Churches: St Laurance Hilmarton, Calne Baptist, Calne Methodist, St Edmunds RC Businesses: Calne Launderette, Heritage B&B Schools: None so far looking at FT Schools audits as far as we know. Measuring Success Good POSITIVE progress Continue with Audits

8 Goal 4 Attract media coverage and popular support for the campaign.
This is ongoing – almost every opportunity to issue articles into local publications is being taken. Jan/Feb articles sent: Town Guide, Town Cryer, Derry Hill Inspire Magazine Measuring Success Get campaign visible to everybody in Town & Parishes: Ramp up presentations – select targets - ongoing Press release (if we get grant) about visual advertising Working with Cllr Tom Rounds to find out if we can put banners on lampposts and under road signs for a period. Use of Calne Baptist Church Stall at Dec 2nd Christmas Event

9 Goal 5 A local Representative Steering Group is convened to ensure progress and continued commitment to the campaign. The group is responsible for an annual assessment to monitor whether the area is continuing to meet the five goals. The group organises special events for Fairtrade Fortnight in March each year. Manager (Craig) and Heads of Store Departments Very helpful meeting In summary agreed to: Provide an elevated Fairtrade presence in the store during Fairtrade Fortnight Allow campaign banner space on end outside railings Display our Campaign Roundal Will make every effort to have a presence at the Town Hall Event on Sat 3rd March Will switch their donation of Tea and Coffee to The HUB to Fairtrade products

11 FTC Campaign Treasurers Report
As of November £ balance in the bank. £880 of this is restricted (allocated). A small proportion of the Restricted fund (Calne Area Board Grant) has been spent: 2 banners and a portable projection screen
