YLE wants to make a nature document about badgers Ulos luontoon -series Around viewers Robot for filming badgers’ nest and tunnels Mechatronics team: mechanical and electronical design Automation team: software design Video material has scientific value No video material before from inside nest Badgers ->outside the den have already been filmed -> are mainly unexplored Nobody knows the real size of the den Trying to keep the disturbance for the badger very low expose badger -> create awareness of these animals in publis Project Plan | Badger Tunnel Ranger

What kind of problems might occure?
Robot or cable can get stuck We don’t know what there is inside the tunnels How to get it back without damaging tunnels? We might disturb a badger It can attack and break the robot Field testing might be difficult Badgers sleep in their tunnels during winter Lighting for good quality filming Reducing the size Cable: friction of the cable increases robot should be powerful enough to pull the cable recovering the robot might damage the den just say: What problems have we encountered yet? -> different deadlines of the project -> define the responsibilities -> structuring the teamwork Project Plan | Badger Tunnel Ranger
