3 Figure 2 Course of eosinophilic gastroenteritis. After median follow-up of 13 years, we identified 3 different eosinophilic gastroenteritis courses. Forty-two percent (n = 18) of patients presented a single flare with no relapse (A), 37% (n = 16) a recurring course with multiple flares and period of full remission (2 months to several years) (B), and 21% (n = 9) a continuous course (C). Seven of 9 patients with continuous course, 12 of 16 patients with recurring course, and 8 of 18 patients with single flare received treatment at diagnosis.
