2. Around the World with Math Facts
Materials: Hoop and Ball
Indoor Option: Trashcan and ball or paper-crumpled
Directions:
Student picks spots around the basketball hoop. At each spot, give the child a math fact at their level for them to answer correctly.
If they answer correctly–attempt to shoot the basket from that spot and move to a new spot.
If they miss the shot—repeat another fact and shoot from the same spot until they make it.
If they answer incorrectly—give similar problem again until successful.

3. Beat the Fact Clock
Materials: Stop watch (iPhone app), assigned running destination (cone, couch, door, mailbox, etc.)
Directions:
Give child math fact at their level.
Start timer as soon as you give the fact.
Student MUST answer correctly before getting the go signal to run.
Student runs to assigned destination and back.
Upon the return, stop the timer.
The time is the total elapsed time of answer the fact and running.
Repeat to BEAT THE CLOCK!
Variation: Increase the difficulty of the math facts as you go.
