2 Class Objectives Develop reading, writing, speaking, listening and organizational skills; Understand the causes shaping American actions; Examine principles of democracy and economics; Explore tendencies and conditions causing conflict in the US and throughout the world; Question moral choices.

3 Academic Policy Grades are based on classwork, homework, projects, notes, and exams Exams are worth 2-3X a grade

4 Absent Policy If a student is absent, inform the teacher for make – up work. Failure to do so will result in an F.

7 EOC Students will take the EOC in this course in May on the aforementioned topics The EOC counts as 30% of the grade, so it is extremely important that they are ready to pass the exam.
