The Hackney SEND Travel Assistance Service in-house service comprises of:
22 Professional PCV Drivers
60 Passenger Assistants
6 Office staff
Frontline staff widely trained in various courses appropriate to the care of special needs children.
Fleet of brand new coach built buses, and 30 seater, all with wheelchair access.

3. After-school club, evening and weekend transport
21 bus routes operated daily to 4 special needs schools within and out of the borough
Transporting over 190 SEN children per day, with a further 317 SEN children transported via taxi providers from a council framework of selected providers.
We operate daily curricular (swimming), as-directed journeys for schools
After-school club, evening and weekend transport
Midday and half day transport services
Ad hoc journeys for local charities/voluntary groups

4. Indicative Costs & Availability :
Costs for a 30 seater accessible vehicle for a return journey within the borough are generally between
£80-£100
Our in-house fleet is available during school terms for curricular journeys between 9.30am – 2.30pm
