institution or groups of institutions
6
Dates by calendar or fiscal year
Databases listed in the Stats Tool are contingent on the dates selected (i.e. databases only display for the dates your institution [or institutions] had access through GALILEO).
7
Select: Individual databases or grouped by vendor

Reports can be bookmarked

GALILEO Statistics Page
Statistics FAQs COUNTER information Annual Reports History GALILEO Listserv: Announce monthly loading of vendor data
10
Tip: Check the annual reports
Each fall reports are prepared for each group for the prior fiscal year, available at Easily access high-level GALILEO statistics Quickly compare to group members Serves as a quick lookup for resources offered
11
Example: GISA FY17 annual report
12
Tip: Only link Chosen stats are available for GLRI and some GALILEO databases
You can use the “Links” stat as a quick and easily accessible preliminary evaluation The vendor will often have full stats. The list of GALILEO resources that do not have full stats is available at
13
Example: Gwinnett Tech Infobase eBooks
14
Example: Oglethorpe GLRI
15
Tip: Be aware of abstract vs. full text resources
Sometimes you won’t expect to see certain stats, such as full text for an abstract only database On the other hand, there are exceptions Comparing an index to a related full text database might point you to areas that need updating
16
Example: Shorter CINAHL Index vs. Plus w/ FT
17
Tip: Quality of Life improvements
Remember to change the title And do use the bookmarks! Be aware that some report option views work better than others. For example, searching combinations of multiple institutions, databases, and months is hard to process if you choose to view each in the report. Also, selecting all institutions or all months will lock you in to having to select all databases
18
Example: Bad example
19
Other Examples: Costshares and cost/use
20
Other Examples: Collection Management
