Certified Peer Specialist
wicps.org Join our training to become a Certified Peer Specialist A certified peer specialist is someone who has lived experience with mental illness and/or substance use disorder, and has formal training to support recovery. An active participant on the consumer’s treatment and recovery team. A paid professional who uses their experience and training to support recovery. You must complete an application and pass an interview to be selected for training. Only the first 50 applications will be considered. Applications will only be accepted from people living or working in Waukesha County “Funding for this training was made possible in part by grant #SPO22112 from SAMHSA (the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration).
