1. Relaxed and Worried – on a concept line
As a whole class, discuss where to put the following feelings in
different places on a ‘concept line’ or ‘continuum’, stretching from:
‘relaxed’ ________________ to ________________, ‘tense’
wound up, casual, comfortable, stressed, nervous,
carefree, lazy, worried, laid back.
The concept line could be across the whiteboard, or else a rope or
something across the floor.
If the latter, different people could stand on it, representing the different
examples.
(Alternatively, just arrange the 9 ideas into 3 groups of 3: most relaxed;
‘in the middle’; most tense.)
