Matter is composed of very tiny particles. They behave in different ways depending on the phases.

Solids: The particles vibrate and hold their own shape.
Liquids: The particles ”flow” among one another. They take the shape of their container.
Gases: The particles move freely and quickly They expand to fill the container.

13. How can we go from one phase to another?
You can go from solid to liquid to gas by adding ENERGY (or heat).
For example, if you apply heat to ice (solid), it will melt into water (liquid). If you keep applying heat, it will evaporate into water vapour.
