Grading follows Science Dept. policy-
Projects and assessment- 50% Class work/Quizzes % Homework %

LATE WORK Team Late Work Policy: 10% reduction of score if turned in by the allotted time. Class work not turned in will become a zero after 1 week---flexible Late projects not accepted unless turned in with in 2 weeks of the due date weeks, students will receive a zero for the grade. Make up time for students missing assignments or needing help is during lunch called working lunch.

Goal for all Assessments
The goal for all of our students is to make a 70% or higher on all assessments. If a student makes a 69% or below, they can do test corrections. The highest score a student can get with test corrections is a 70%. However, all of the corrections MUST be correct.

Make up work when absent-students are responsible for getting missed assignments and have 2 days for every day absent to make up work. Check make-up work board and ask teacher for assignments and due dates on FIRST day back at school.

Behavior Expectations
1. Be polite and respectful of others 2. Complete all work on time 3. Come to class fully prepared 4. Raise hand to make comments or to get out of your seat 5. Contribute positively to class (no negative comments to or about others).

Consequences 1st offense – warning
2nd offense – discussion in the hallway or alternate assignment in separate from the rest of class. 3rd offense – Lunch detention 4th + offense- ICS or referral to administrator.

Oceanography Elective
Research project with NCSU called Engage Project (software is called Engage) NCSU Carnage portal on my Weebly site Pre/post surveys & gameplay Focus for the project is to create games that are engaging to students so that they can learn the science concept that the game is built around Our game is geared towards learning computer science
