2. Art Challenge Smallest size you may work is 12x16.
You will create a portrait of yourself, or someone else.
You must incorporate 2 mediums into your drawing (one must be a drawing medium)
Ex: cut paper and ink, watercolor and graphite, color pencil and graphite, etc…
NO ANIME! Unless you can legitimize it as a drawing style, and create a strong enough project that will allow you to work the entire duration of the project.

The drawing (you may begin when I sign your contract)
Find an artist that relates to your work.
Write an artist’s statement
Fill out an Elements and Principles Sheet.

Find 1 Artist that relates to your work. Tell us how s/he relates. Print an artwork, tell us about the artist. (1 paragraph)

7. 3 Write an Artist’s Statement:
(Typed. 12pt. Times new roman. Double spaced. )
Tell us what you created. “I made a portrait of…”
Tell us why you chose the person. “I admire…. So I chose to depict this person.”
Tell us how you used the mediums you chose and why. “I wanted to work with water color because of it’s fluidity. It is a medium hard to control, which can also describe my person…” 3
