2 Use of Computational Software Tools to Enhance Learning in Introductory Business Statistics
How can we best support course delivery in order to enhance student learning in the introductory business statistics course? This panel deals with the effective use of various software tools. Their advantages and disadvantages will be discussed and specific applications will be demonstrated. Audience commentary/participation is encouraged.

3 The Question for the Audience
The particular question that must be addressed is whether the teaching of business statistics should drive the choice of software or whether the fact that Excel is so widely used in business and in other business courses we should be obligated to employ this (or Excel templates or Excel add-ons) in the teaching of statistics?

4 Honoring John McKenzie: “The DASI Session Vote”
When teaching the first statistics course we should use: only Excel ___ an Excel “add-on” ___ an Excel application first; then use statistical software ___ only appropriate statistical software ___

5 Final Remarks from the Final DASI 17 Session
Thank you Bob and Kellie for organizing another wonderful, stimulating DASI conference.
