Measuring and Classifying Angles
COURSE 2 LESSON 7-2 The measure of Q is 49°. Find the measure of its complement. Let x = the measure of the complement of Q. x + m Q = 90° The angles are complementary. x + 49° = 90° Substitute 49° for m Q. x + 49° – 49° = 90° – 49° Subtract 49° from each side. x = 41° Simplify. The measure of the complement of Q is 41°. 7-2
