2 A big part of keeping a plant alive is making sure that the soil the plant is in is healthy.
Key nutrients plants need are: Phosphorus Potassium Nitrogen

3 Lack of Nitrogen Stunted plants, pale color, light green or yellow if sever Occurs on older foliage first For corn, the lower leaves have a yellow “v” pattern along midrib Caused commonly by an over amount of carbon in the soil.

4 Lack of Phosphorous Turns edge of the leaves purple and slows down growth Cause most often by wet/cool weather needed for the plant and clay based soils

5 Lack of Potassium (AKA potash deficiency)
Appears on older leaves first, and is strongest at edge, advancing inward Commonly found in sandy soils
