SIZE OF AFRICA Africa is the second largest continent in the world;it stretches over 4,600 miles from east to west. The largest number of people in Africa live on Savannas or grass plains. Vegetation varies from sand dunes and rocky wastes to dense green rain forests. The first humans appeared in the great in the great rift valley, a deep gash in the earth's crust that runs through the floor of the Red Sea and across eastern Africa.
3
In africa the deserts make up about 40% of the continent.
These deserts are largely uninhabitable and also hamper people’s movements to more welcoming climates. They developed technology from their surrounding environment making it easier for them to survive. Most early africans continued to hunt their food although they eventually planted their own.
4
The northern coast and the southern tip of Africa have welcoming climates and fertile soil.
Africa’s earliest people were nomadic; these people were mostly hunters going from place to place in order to get sources of food. Africans who lived in areas that had a great amount of animals eventually learned how to domesticate and raise them for food. Making some decide to stay in the given area which animals were mostly found in.

In the eighth century B.C before the nok we’re spreading their culture throughout west Africa; The kingdom of Kush had become more powerful Egypt pouring the next century drove the Kushite pharaohs south; the kingdom kush nevertheless remained a powerful kingdom for over a 1000 years. Then a new kingdom arose south of the kush; this new kingdom was called Aksum. A legend traces the founding of the Aksum and the Ethiopian royal dynasty to the son of the Solomon king and the Queen of Sheba.
6
The Aksumites merchants were normally known for trading salt and gold.
The kush kingdom used a language called the Meroitic that is later called the kushite. The first mention of the Aksum was written around 100 A.D perilous of the Archaean sea. The first king of Aksum is thought to be Zoskales.
7
The first king of the Aksum was often called a “stickler” and is commonly referred as greedy.
The Aksum began to conquer other lands hoping for growth in its power. The Aksum’s location and expansion made its surrounding areas an important trading center. Greece was not the only country to interact with the Aksum under Zoskales and other rulers.

One group of African languages is the Niger Congo which includes over 800 individual languages .
A popular reference to the people who speak this language are the “Banm” speaking people. The migration that took place in Africa are of the best things to happen to the people there; increasing its population and making rich history. Bantu speakers weren’t necessarily one language but a group of shared culture characteristics.
9
They were farmers and nomadic herders who developed and passed along the skilled iron workers.
They moved eastward into the savannas; they adopted their techniques for herding goats and sheep to raise cattle. Nobody knows the real reason but Anthropologist proposed a logical explanation; the experts suggest that one of these people developed agriculture. With only 1,500 people, the bantu speakers had populated the use of the language mostly in the southern half of africa.
10
Fighting with iron-tipped spears, the newcomers easily drove off the mbuti and the san who were armed with stone weapons. The bantu speakers also exchanged ideas and joined together. Although the bantu migrations produced a great diversity of culture, they also left a unifying influence on the continent. Creating new groups of tribes making some die out while others would grow.
