2. Nikola was born on June 28, 1856, according to the old, that is, on July 10, according to the new calendar, as the fourth child of Milutin, a Serbian Orthodox priest, and Georgine, in Smiljan, in Lika, in the Military Krajina of the Austrian Empire, not far from the border with the Ottoman Empire . He was baptized in the Serbian Orthodox Church of St. Peter and Paul in Smiljan.

3. He died in New York on January 7, 1943 (at Orthodox Bozic) from a heart attack, very poor and forgotten in his 87th year of life. When he died he was cremated (burnt). His ashes are kept in Belgrade's museum.

Nikola Tesla spoke: Serbian-Croatian, Czech, English, French, German, Hungarian, Italian
and Latin.
Nikola's brother Dane was killed as a child, when he worked in the village, the horse hit him and he died (Tesla's parents thought that Dane was much smarter and more intelligent than Nikola).
In the night when he was born there was a GREAT storm. The nurse who gave birth to his mother said that Tesla would be a child of darkness, and the mother replied that he would not be a child of darkness but a child of light.

He loved pigeons very, very much.
He had an obsession of number three.
The first one came up with a hydrocentral.
Nikola Tesla is the author of more than 700 patents, registered in 25 countries, of which 112 in the field of electrical engineering.
