LESSON 03

LESSON 03 STARTER Paired review of your modelling achievements so far With your partner/neighbour, begin by presenting to them what you have achieved so far in the assembly of the virtual model. Remember to list the: - parts you have brought in - the constraints and iMates you have used and why - issues you had with the assembly - any parts you have modified or intend to modify - any changes to the modelling process you can see to improve the process Once you have presented, pass over to your partner to present their own modelling approach, and focus this second discussion on the issues that have arisen. Share best practice ideas on how to improve one another's modelling approaches. Key words: Programmable, environment, design, manufacturing and application
4
VIDEO 7 Video Tasks: - use fixings including screws and nuts and assemble them using iMates Key words: Programmable, environment, design, manufacturing and application
5
VIDEO 8 Video Tasks: - modify sheet metal parts to fit around a bespoke assembly - adjust sketches and edit parts to create new parts Key words: Programmable, environment, design, manufacturing and application
6
VIDEO 9 Video Tasks: - complete the assembly of an accurate virtual product Key words: Programmable, environment, design, manufacturing and application
7
LESSON 03 PLENARY Using your Engineering Notebook Record what you have achieved today in your notebook. Include: - written descriptions of tasks completed - bullet pointed steps undertaken - parts brought in - sketches of processes and sub assemblies Sign off Get your teacher to sign off your notebook by the end of the lesson.
