Non-compatible chemicals
Incompatible chemicals intended as chemicals that interact with each other And the resulting: heat* *outputs flammable and produce toxic compounds* So when you save and store chemicals not take into account the assembly between incompatible chemicals .
2
Here are some examples of non-compatible chemicals:
Calcium oxide x Water Acetone X A mixture of nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric
3
Potassium permanganate
Aniline X Nitric acid, hydrogen peroxide Potassium permanganate X Glycerol, ethylene glycol, benzaldehyd, sulfuric acid Acetylene x Chlorine, bromine, copper, fluorine, silver, mercury.
4
Oils, flammable liquids, solids, flammable and combustible gases.
Oxygen x Oils, flammable liquids, solids, flammable and combustible gases. Bromine x Ammonia, acetylene, butane, methane, propane, hydrogen, benzene, metals (powder) Bromine
5
Proper storage of chemicals
The first step in the process of storage of chemicals is to reduce the number and amount of chemicals required are stored to the lowest reasonable level. The next step is the classification into groups according to the notification, use color-coding to indicate those threats: ; We know that chemicals that are not separated into different groups, it can interact with each other and explode or generate heat or fire or flammable gases. Some volatile compounds (organic compounds alnitritih, picric acid, benzoyl peroxide, etc.
6
should be kept moist during storage to reduce the possibility of explosion. The storage area must be so large enough to separate different groups from each other. If there is use of a very small number of hazardous chemicals, it would be worthwhile buying those chemicals in limited quantities whenever needed. And typical of each group should be placed in good areas separated from each other
7
Make sure that the order and organization of storage areas and keep them organized. Ensure that the rack of storage and other fixed equipment and secure against slipping and collapse Do not store any material on Earth even if dataset, glass at alkwash p placed on ORF and tables Must be the buildings and rooms well-ventilated chemical storage and storage room must contain the air exits the roof and also below each store must contain at least two exits for emergencies
8
Water sprays are necessary only in areas where the storage of chemicals that react with water. Must be the bulbs suggested companies and phones and other devices against Charar. You must provide each storage area at least one fire extinguisher and one portable breathing apparatus Store large quantities in safety containers away from sources of ignition in ventilated cabinets, fire resistant specifically designed for flammable liquids Do not use household refrigerators to store any type of chemicals. They generate sharar then ignition of flammable materials
9
Many chemicals morph during storage
Many chemicals morph during storage. Therefore it is recommended that you write down the date of receipt of the package and the date of first use for packaging all packaging card attached. Chemical manufacturers include an expiration date for some chemicals on the packaging label (such as: commercial aisobrobili, peroxide)
