2. Functions of Bones
Support of the body (anchors organs in place, legs act as pillars to support the body)
Protection of soft organs (Skull froms case around the brain, vertebrae-spinal cord)
Movement due to attached skeletal muscles (tendons attach to bones which act as levers to move the body)
Storage of minerals (Ca for neural messages and clotting, P for ATP and waste removal) and fats (yellow marrow inside bones)
Hematopoiesis (Blood cell formation in red marrow)
