Major challenges to building a shared CMMI Data Repository:
• Committing the time and effort both for recording the appropriate meta data and archiving the data so that it can be easily accessed.
• Providing incentives
• Change in culture regarding data ownership
What I would like to take away from the workshop:
(1) An understanding of the best practices for capturing and sharing data
(2) Develop connections (maybe even collaborations) with others in the materials data community.
