2 Project Background The Medical Cannabis Program (MCP) utilizes a system provided by Bio Track THC for management of Patient Services and Licensing / Compliance. The web based application was installed in April 2015, and supports the collection of data for: Patients, caregivers, and personal production licensees. Licensed non profit producers (LNPP) Dispensaries Current patient population has increased 110% in 2 years to 46,665 patients (12/17).

Patient Services receives on average: 264 pieces of mail/day –handled manually and stored in folders by patient 82 calls/day The License and Compliance Division is responsible for regulating more than 100 locations across the state 35 Producers (LNPP’s) 70 Dispensaries Testing of Medical Cannabis is conducted by 3 independent laboratories for the State of NM.

4 Problem Description Patient Services spends vast amounts of time filing and retrieving information manually. Patient statistics are not readily available License and Compliance spends a great deal of time retrieving data to manage LNPP’s and Dispensaries Inventory and other statistics are manually compiled. Testing of Medical Cannabis is conducted with no Quality Assurance oversight.

5 Project Goals Bring Project Manager on board to provide IT project management services for the MCP (completed). Add enhancements to BioTrack’s Patient Services and Traceability functionality to create efficiencies in the management of the MCP program. Add functionality to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to establish the Scientific Laboratory (SLD) as a quality assurance reference facility to ensure patient health and safety measures are in place.

Upgrade 5 instruments to accommodate medical cannabis testing Add 14 tests
