When should you notify an SPS measure?
Restricting or facilitating Members are encouraged to notify all regulations that are based on, conform to, or are substantially the same as an international standard, guideline or recommendation, if they are expected to have a significant effect on trade of other Members. (2008 Transparency Procedures)

Who notifies? National Notification Authority
Single central government authority responsible for the implementation of notification procedures Only one NNA!

When to notify and in which format?
When modifications are still possible (draft text) Regular measures IMMEDIATELY!! Emergency measures

Addendum – provides additional information or changes to an original notification
Corrigendum – corrects error in original notification Revision – replaces an existing notification Availability of Translations – share an unofficial translation of a document relating to a previously circulated notification Recognition of equivalence: measure recognized, products covered (G/SPS/7/Rev3 – specific format)
