This powerpoint can be used to support the teaching of ‘Number’ targeted towards the month age band.

2. Teaching tips:
This is a great and fun way to get children to estimate. Encourage the children to think logically, does it look like a lot more/or less than the last estimation? Would the number be a lot higher/ or lower?
Why not get the children to write their estimation on an individual whiteboard before revealing the answer. Remember that it is an estimation, it does not have to be correct.
