GENERAL INFORMATION The details are as follows:
Date: 18 to the 20th May 2018 Time: Friday to Sunday 08h00 until late FRIDAY : ALL KATA DIVISIONS 10am – 11am: SOCIAL OUTREACH / DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (PUBLIC PARTICIPATION) SATURDAY : ALL KUMITE DIVISIONS SUNDAY FINALS DAY – KATA AND KUMITE Venue: Sandton Convention Centre ; Gauteng Province, South Africa. Participation Fee: R per individual per category, R per team event Spectators Entrance fee: Please consult the Arnold Classic Sports Festival Online Website for entrance rates Closing date for entries for the Elite will be: 1 May 2018 Tournament Entry fees must be deposited into KSA account, BY PROVINCES. Who will be eligible to participate? TOP 10 RANKED ELITE ATHLETES PER DIVISION (Visit the current KSA rankings – Entries have to be entered by Provinces. A hard copy and proof of payment must be ed to the Championship Director Sensei Leonardo Ciutto and KSA Tresurer Shani Lakaram - Weigh-in: will be done Thursday the 17th May 16h00 till 19h00 and athletes found to be outside their weight category will be disqualified. All athletes must be medically fit before they can be allowed to participate. This is an Official National Event and only registered members from the affiliated provinces may enter

Athletes take part at their own risk. No claim may be made against KSA – WKF or any of the officials officiating on the day of the championship. It is the responsibility of every Provincial Coach to explain the conditions/ rules to each athlete and/or parent before entering the championship. Any athlete entered in an incorrect age or weight will be disqualified. Coaches and Team Managers must ensure that correct information is submitted. Any athlete not reporting to his/her floor after 3-call out will be disqualified. WKF rules as stipulated at the Technical Congress in January 2018 will apply during this championship. Athletes must use WKF Approved Protective gear. Breast protectors and body protectors are compulsory for female & Male competitors. Mouth guards, red/blue mitts, foot and shin guards are also compulsory. Face Guards have been added for Children and are required as per WKF rules for 2018 Age of athletes will be calculated as the age on 01st May 2018 Coaches: Only the appointed coaches from each provinces / Country are invited to the Coaches Accreditation Course may coach an athlete from his/ her province at this event. Only the appointed coaches from each provinces / Country may coach an athlete from his/ her province. Only coaches wearing their full provincial tracksuit will be allowed to coach. Those wearing only tracksuit top or trouser/ Protea track suit won’t be allowed on the floor. WKF rules on coaching must be strictly adhered to and non compliance to the rules and regulations will lead to disciplinary steps being taken. Team Managers: Team Managers must wear their official Provincial Attire (Navy blue blazer, white shirt, tie, gray pants, black shoes & socks) Team Managers are not allowed in competition area

Referees and Judges: All officials must be dressed appropriately as per WKF rules, including table officials. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: It is requested that all athletes must bring along the following: Consent letter from parent/ Guardian/Indemnity form REFEREES COURSE: Thursday 17th May 2018, Time: 13h00 to 17h00: Mr. L. Rhoda Cost: R 500 TABLE OFFICIATING BRIEFING: Thursday 17th March 2018, Time: 13h00 – 15h00: Mrs. Berry Reddy Cost: R 300 COACHING ACCREDITATION: Thursday 17th March 2018: 13h00 – 13h00 – 15h00. DIVISIONS The Elite Event is open to the top 10 SA ranked Athletes for that division nationally only. Divisions are : Children's Divisions – Kata and Kumite Cadets Divisions – Kata and Kumite Juniors Divisions – Kata and Kumite U21 Divisions – Kata and Kumite Seniors Divisions – Kata and Kumite Veterans and Masters Divisions – Kata and Kumite Special International Divisions (will include all visiting competitors from abroad) for all of the above categories
