1. God’s Great Love

2. God Loved Us When We Were Wayward
We were “children of wrath” and “sons of disobedience” (Eph. 2:2-3; 5:5-6; Col. 3:5-7; 1 Peter 1:13-14)
We can relate to the prodigal son! (Luke 5:11-32)
Yet God calls us His children! (1 John 3:1)

3. The Great Cost of God’s Great Love
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
God’s great love enables us to be His children, and to walk accordingly. Because of His great love, we have great hope!

4. Living & Loving as Children of God
We are imitators of His love (Romans 5:8)
We are reflectors of His light (Philippians 2:14-15)
We are called to His holiness (1 Peter 1:14-16)

5. God’s Great Love Gives us Hope!
Hope that is beyond compare! (Romans 8:18-19)
Hope that the stains on our souls and the pains in our hearts will be “no more.” (Jer. 31:3, 34; Rev. 21:4)
