1 categorise into ‘starter’, ‘main course’, and ‘dessert’ (meaning) 2 match lexis to simple definition (meaning, form) 3 categorise words into ‘difficult’ or easy’ to pronounce categories (sound) 4 listen and write the word you hear e.g. “sauce” /sɒs/ s-a-u-c-e (sound and form) 5 Memorise and remember - Ss memorise menu for One minute, turn menu over, and remember it together using ‘starter’, ‘main course’, and ‘dessert’ categories as a guide, then choose a dish for yourself from each course (meaning, form and sound)
