In groups, find a quote from the novel for each of the 5 themes and explain how it reflects the theme. Themes: The American Dream Wealth’s Consequences The Jazz Age New vs. Old Money Women in the 20’s

2nd Hour Assignment Look over your theme explanations from last Thursday/Friday. Circle the explanation you are least confident about. As a class, we will discuss how to make explanations more thorough.
