9. GRANTS VS DONATIONS GRANTS VS DONATIONS
Donations can be provided by anyone and are given wholeheartedly by people who really want to help someone in need.. Usually comes in the form of cash, services, or goods. Donations are forms of gifts. They are given without any requirements or strings attached and doesn’t require anything in return.
Grant Funds given by specific party, Government, Corporation, Foundation, Education, Business or individual. This is only given through Grant Writing which is an application of proposal is required. It is requiring a specific something given for people who are in need. Can be given to victims of natural disaster and individuals interested in opening small business. Most of time requires tax exempt or non profit status.
