2 VALUES Represent basic convictions that a specific mode of conduct or end state of existence is personally or socially preferable to an opposite or end state of existence.

3 4 QUADRANTS OF SCHWARTZ VALUES CIRCUMPLEX
Openness to change- this quadrant refers to a person’s motivation to pursue innovative ways. Conservation- represents a persons motivation to preserve the status quo.

4 Self enhancement- refers to how much a person is motivated by self interest.
Self transcendence- opposite of self enhancement. Represents a persons motivation to promote the welfare of others and nature.

6 VALUES CONGRUENCE Values tells us what is right or wrong and what we ought to do. Values congruence- refers to how similar a persons values hierarchy is to the values hierarchy of the organization, co worker, or another source of comparison

13 ATTITUDES Are evaluative statements- either favorable –about objects, people or events.

Job satisfaction- describes a positive feeling about a job resulting from an evaluation of its characteristics. Job involvement- measures the degree to which people identify psychologically with their job and consider their perceived performance level important to self worth
