H4 (9003, HB2) Hi/Lo Reverse Polarity Guide

*Special Note* If your Halogen high beam turns on for your low beam on. Or if on your vehicle your lights seem to be acting wrong. This is a common problem associated with the polarity from the HID kits connector. Each vehicle manufactures uses a different configuration for (Ground / Low Beam / High Beam). You can easily swap the pins on the hid connector. Here is how you do it. Stick your finger inside the plug where the pins are and bend them down toward the CURVED surface of the plug. Then raise them up a bit and pull from the back.

Polarity Settings Thick Red Wire – Low Beams
Thin Red Wire – High Beams Black Wire – Ground

Step 1 Insert a small flathead screwdriver into the slot of the three prong plug, pressing it against the prong. This unlatches the prong so that it can easily drop out of the plug.

Step 2 Repeat step 2 as needed for the other prongs.

Step 3 Wedge the prong’s latch out slightly with the small flathead screwdriver. This allows the prong to be secured once it is re-inserted into the plug.

Step 4 Repeat step 4 as needed for the other prongs.

Step 5 Insert the prongs into the plug in a different order.

Step 6 Repeat steps 1 to 5 on the other side of the vehicle. Continue repeating steps 1 to 6 until the HID low beams and halogen high beams turn on appropriately.
