What is a Pediatrician? A Pediatrition is a doctor who specializes in the care of children from birth to early adulthood. In Latin a pediatrition is literally a “healer of children”
3
In High school/College what courses are there to take ?
In high school classes basic sciences are required such as: Biology, Chemistry, Algebra, Geometry and Calculus. In college statistics, physics, inorganic and organic chemistry and Physiology are required
4
Biology & Chemistry In reference to a pediatrician biology is the study of living organisms which are humans. Chemistry are ways to interact, combine and change. For example, in order to be a pediatrician you have to know chemistry to decide how many dosages of medicine and what formulas to use when mixing substances to form a composition.
5
Algebra, Geometry & Calculus
Algebra , Geometry and calculus are required for pediatricians to know because all fluids are calculated for infants, small children and others whose fluid balance status is concern. Pediatrics have to calculate the flow rate on a volumetric scale to know the volume and time, and also they calculate degrees of angles to measure bone deformity.
6
Statistics Pediatricians need to know statistics which is a mathematical science to show analysis and interpretation of global data. For example pediatricians should know the stats of the new cases of diseases, birth rates or even death rates.
