Standard Normal Probabilities
Find the probability P(z ≤ z0). Click Insert Function (fx) Select Statistical as your function category Choose NORM.S.DIST 1 2
2
Standard Normal Probabilities
You must enter Z = The value of the standard normal distribution for which you would like the cumulative probability P(z ≤ z0). Cumulative = True if you want P(x ≤ X). = False if you want the height of the curve at x. Use if you would like to graph the function (not used much in this class). Example: P(z ≤ 1.83) = .9664

Standard Normal Probabilities
Find the z-value giving you probability P(z ≤ z0) = P0. Click Insert Function (fx) Select Statistical as your function category Choose NORM.S.INV 1 2
4
Standard Normal Probabilities
You must enter Probability = The probability P0 for which you would like the value of the standard normal distribution giving you P(z ≤ z0) = P0. Example: Fill in the blank: P(z ≤ ____) = .90 The answer is 1.282
