Organelle that helps with cell division
Centromere
a place on a chromosome that joins two sister chromatids
Cell Cycle
Sequence of growth and division in cells. Interphase, Mitosis & Cytokinesis

3. Mitosis
An asexual process by which the nucleus divides into two identical nuclei (PMAT)
Interphase
Period of cell growth and normal function. The longest phase of the cell cycle. (G1, S, G2)
Prophase
DNA packs together to form chromosomes and the nuclear membrane dissolves.

4. Metaphase
Chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
Anaphase
Replicated DNA (sister chromatids) move apart to opposite sides of the cell
Telophase
Two nuclear membranes form around separated DNA

5. Cytokinesis
Division of the cytoplasm resulting in two new cells.
