$300,000 Total Project Cost Rehabilitate SRE building (repaired damaged wall panels, repaired floor, repainted, updated electrical/lighting, improved access and security)

DURING picture Block Grant funded $707,722 Total Project Cost Install Perimeter Fence (cleared area, fence material installed, gates installed) Multi-phased project Very rocky, hilly terrain with many trees causing difficult access

Indiana County Airport
The Runway is 5500’ x 100’ with 2” of P-401 and Grip Flex (P-629) was applied to preserve the pavement and included part of the parallel TW at a total cost of $450,000 Capital Budget funding .

State Block Grant Airport Planning Sessions Handout - Spending FAA State Block Grant Funding Bureau Implementing Best Practices Use or Transfer expiring entitlement funds Use expiring Apportionment funds

Bureau Best Practices If Funding expires, Bureau assess airport’s history of entitlement and apportionment expenditures Bureau may reduce state match percentage Bureau may reduce number of planned Block Grant projects in FYP

Bureau Best Practices FAA Report Cards show how Block Grant States are meeting targets for spending FAA funding Bureau will be providing drawdown targets in each subgrant to a Block Grant Airport Quarterly Targets/Annual Goals per Year for spending down Block Grant funding Different targets/goals for different year Block Grant funding Scorecard Information will be shown on Bureau’s webpage

Bureau Best Practices By May 1, all planned projects to receive SBG funding for the current FFY should be in “TA in Progress” By mid-August, all planned projects should be in “Grantee Accepts Agreement” By mid-December, Bureau must know if State Block Grant Airport will spend expiring FAA funding or transfer

Consultant Performance Evaluations Bureau will be requiring all SBG airports to evaluate their consultants on a project by project basis Provides valuable information for future airport consultant selections Bureau will be evaluating consultants on SBG airport projects SharePoint will be used for deployment of the evaluations
