5. IB Diploma Pathways Program Information IB Certificate Program
Students taking between one to three IB courses are considered IB Certificate Candidates.
SJVA’s AAP Program (**new school year)
Students taking 4 IB exams or take a combination of: 2 IB exams and 2 dual enrollment college courses or AP courses, plus take IB TOK and have 100 hours of CAS are considered Advanced Academic Program (AAP) Associates.
IB Diploma Program
IB Diploma students take 6 courses and exams, 150 hours of CAS, IB TOK, and write the Extended Essay. These students are considered Full IB Diploma Candidates.

6. Full IB DP
If you did not request to be enrolled in full IB, sign your name on the counselor sheet and a counselor will work with you to make a course change
Some of you may not be eligible to take full IB next year
Counselor will schedule appointment with you if you are not academically ready to take a class you requested

7. INDIVIDUAL IB COURSES You may elect to take individual IB courses
No guarantee you will be placed in the courses you select
Understand HL courses span over two years and will be expected to finish the two year course
Same academic expectations apply to full IB students and students taking one or more courses
You may not be eligible to participate in some of the extra-curricular IB conferences as they are intended for IB Diploma Candidates
The comradery may not be the same if you’re not in the full IB DP
