CyberStart – Last Summer
3,500 from 7 states participated in CyberStart 161 (~32 females) Hawaii students qualified/played 22 (1 female) won SANS $1,500 scholarships 63% have not done a CTF (CyberStart equiv) before 85% rated their experience as “Very Good-Excellent” 95% would like recommend to a friend as “Quite Likely-Extremely Likely” Females made up only ~5% of players Hawaii’s students did awesome! All Hawaii high school females Enrolled in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade at a public/private school/homeschool Create a team (up to four team members from the same school) Just need a computer and a good internet connection to play Sign-up your team at: (Hurry as limited to first 10,000 girls) Sign-up: January 29 thru February 16 Play: February 20-25 Win: Paid trips to Women in Cybersecurity Conference (Chicago), Chromebooks, Chromebooks, pizza parties and more…
