10 Academic Management-Class Registration
When : March 4rd(Mon.) - 8th(Fri.) (One Week) How to register : Student Support System-Courses(수업)- Class Registration(수강신청) Credits : At most 19 to 21 credits according to your major (for undergraduate) 10 credits (for graduate) Tip : As for basic and general classes, every department have different requirements for graduation. Please get advice from your department office for details.

11 Academic Management-Class Withdrawal (W)
When : April 1st(Mon.) - 4th(Thu.) How : Submit the application form to the department office You may withdraw up to 2 classes that you have registered for each semester if you can not complete them for personal reasons. Everyone should attend the examinations without excuses.

12 Academic Management-Examination
When : Middle Exam April 22th(Mon.) ~ 26th (Fri.) Final Exam June 12th(Wed.) ~ 18th(Tue.) Tip : When you encounter difficulties to take an exam, you are advised to discuss the professor for a proper solution.

13 Academic Management-Grade Check
When : June 26th(Wed.) ~ July 1st(Mon.) How : Student Support System –Grades(성적)-Grades Check(성적조회) Challenging : Students may challenge their grades and ask their professors for a revision during the designated period. Undergradutes : new students are not included. 별도의 신청절차는 필요없음.

14 Academic Management- Academic Probation
What :GPA under 1.8 or more than two Fs Tip : Students who were placed under academic probation, 1. get a academic counseling. 2. limitation of class registration 3. more than three times, student will be dismissed. Undergradutes : new students are not included. 별도의 신청절차는 필요없음.

15 Academic Management-Scholarships
Undergraduates : - Merit based scholarships + within 7.5/100 % (Full university fee) + within 30/100 % (Full tuition fee) - Global Korea Scholarship + over GPA 3.9, TOPIK level 5-6, TOEIC 700(40) + recommendation letter from professor(30) + cover letter and study plan papers Graduates : new students(1/2 of university fee) enrolled students(over GPA 3.5) Undergradutes : new students are not included. 별도의 신청절차는 필요없음.

16 Academic Management-Leave of Absence and Re-enrollment
When : August 7th(Wed.)~ 16th(Fri.) How to : Korean ISSS - 학적(Academic Record) - 인터넷 휴/복학(Online leave of absence or re-enrollment) but, those who has below reasons are required to visit your department office. illnesses, study abroad for over 1 year giving a birth(within 1 year) Tip New students are not permitted to take a leave of absence in their first semester. Deputy application is possible.

Please note that Those who receive an approval for leave of absence should visit Office of International Services. Then visit Pusan immigration office right away. Former visa will be expired and 30 days preparation visa will be granted.

18 Visa & Immigration-Registration & Re-issuing the Card
Foreigner Registration If intending to stay more than 90 days after entry, foreigners must apply for alien registration at the local immigrations office within 90 days after arrival. Required Documents Application form (3.5cm X 4.5cm color photo ) Proof of current school enrollment(available from September 3) Passport Fee 10000won *Deputy registration is not available. Re-issuing Foreigner Registration Card Original card is lost or damaged. Application form (photos not required) Report of lost Foreigner registration card (issued by the police station) Passport and fee 10000won

19 Visa & Immigration-Visa Extension
All the foreigners must extend visa before expiration. Required Documents Application form Passport A copy of bank statement in applicant’s name(over 3,000,000won) 30000won fees Studying for degrees(undergraduate, graduate) : Proof of current school enrollment, receipt of tuition payment, transcript Preparing thesis: recommendation letter from an academic supervisor(guidance, schedule of thesis examination, recommendation reasons, etc.) Up to 1 year for master’s degree Up to 2 years for doctoral degree

20 Visa & Immigration-Visa Change(D2)
Regular Course(Bachelor, Master and doctoral) : D2 Required documents to change D2 Standard admission letter(enrollment certificate after March 2) Application form Receipt of tuition payment, Graduation certificate of latest degree Alien Registration Card Attendance sheets(attendance rate : over 80%) Financial capability(10 million won) Passport Fee 50000won

When : you leave Korea after obtaining degree Where : immigration office at airport and ferry terminal Visa cancellation – disenrollment or leave of absence(14days) Return to school – let us know

22 Visa & Immigration-Part-time Employment Visa(S-3)
Applicants: D-2 visa holders Permitted Hours : 20 hours (undergraduate), 30 hours (graduate) per week, 2 work places, no time limits during weekends, vacation Permitted Period : 1 year When you change your working place, please report to the Office of International Services How to register : www. hikorea.go.kr – E-Application-File an application -Degree or Korean language course foreign student part-time working permission –upload ‘A letter of recommendation (unified standard form)’ 필요한 서류는 ISSS 홈페이지 공지사항에 올라와있음. 참고하기 바랍.

The Temporary Place of Residence Alteration When you change the temporary place of residence, you must report the new place of residence to the immigrations office within 14 days. 27 Housing(Dormitory) Important notes for applicants Priorities
Application should be renewed the application every semester. Meal plan is mandatory, 2 meals or 3 meals (on-line application) Dormitory application for vacation months should be directed to the dormitory office. Roommate Matching (Office of International Services) Assigning rooms(Dormitory office) Health Insurance Priorities 1st: Korean government scholarship students, exchange students, new students 2nd : Undergraduate and graduate students 3rd: Graduate candidates or researchers

28 Housing(Dormitory) How to pay dormitory fees : bank wire transfer
Please notes Be sure to use students’ ID. No. If another name is used, notify it to the Office of the International Services by or phone. In addition to the dormitory fees, bank fee for both countries, intermediary bank must be deposited. Early Entrance Early entrance will be decided based on the room availability. Priority goes to new international students and exchange students. Those who are selected as residents are able to apply early move-in online and additional cost exists. Priority goes to new international students. Dormitory Orientation When : March 9 (Sat.) 30 Housing(Dormitory) Article 18 [Penalty] Residents who are expelled or warned during the opening of the dormitory are excluded from selecting residents in the future. Forced expulsion Violations defined by dormitory regulations that correspond to expulsion When a single violation corresponds to 5 penalty points When 2 penal points are added after waning Those who are assigned to forced expulsion must leave within a week. No Night Clothes when you are in the dining room. No slippers in the room

32 Student Life-International Student Health Insurance
International students are required to purchase a travelers’ insurance which covers a minimum of US$10,000 How to register: Visit the OIS 1F, individually Those who have an insurance from your country should submit the copy of insurance card OIS by March 8. Students without insurance are not able to live in dormitory.

Tutoring Program Korean tutor with the same or similar major help international students improve their Korean language skills and academic abilities. Target : Undergraduates How to apply : Check the notice on the ISSS TOPIK test preparing class Help student to prepare TOPIK test to meet the graduation criteria for the undergraduate students: over TOPIK level 4(from 2012 ) Unscheduled Intermediate, Advanced class
