Science is a hands on laboratory class. This will be a fun year, but we have to go over some safety rules before we start any experiments.

2. No Horse playing in the lab!
Wear safety goggles any time chemicals, heat, or glassware are used. No playing with the goggles.

3. Report any accident or injury to teacher immediately.
Keep hands away from face, eyes, and mouth. When you leave the lab clean up, return equipment, and wash your hands.
Follow all directions. IF you don’t understand the instructions, ask your teacher before proceeding.

4. Never eat, drink, chew gum, or taste anything in the lab.
Dress Code- Hair should be tied back. no dangling jewelry, sandals, or loose clothing.

5. Keep your work area clean!
Know were the safety equipment and exits are located.
Don’t experiment without teacher in the room.
Don’t touch equipment!
Handle animals and dissecting supplies with care and respect.
Never open storage cabinets.
Carry microscopes with two hands, one under the base and the other on the arm.
Never pick up broken or hot glassware.
Do not remove supplies from the lab.
