1 “To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One (Isaiah 40:25)

2 Exodus 6:2-3 And God (Elohiym) spoke to Moses and said to him: “I am the Lord (YHWH, Ye-ho-vah) . 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty (El Shaddai) , but by My name Lord (YHWH, Ye-ho-vah) I was not known to them.

3 God’s Power In Creation
The Greatness & Holiness of God Marvels from the book of Isaiah #1 God’s Power In Creation

4 “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of His hand?” (40:12)

5 “Measured heaven with a span” (40:12)

8 The Sun could hold 2.3 million earths.

9 The earth is invisible on this scale.

10 On this scale the sun is smaller than a pixel.

11 At the speed of 186,000 miles per second, it would take:
7 minutes to reach the sun. 4 ½ hours to reach Pluto 100,000 years to cross the Milky Way. 2,000,000 years to reach the next galaxy. 4,000,000,000 years to cross the observable universe.

12 And God measures all of this in the span of His hand. Isaiah 40:12
A study by Yale University astronomer Pieter van Dokkum suggests the universe could have triple the number of stars scientists previously calculated. For those of you counting, the new estimate is:  300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.  (That's 300 sextillion) And God measures all of this in the span of His hand Isaiah 40:12

13 “Calls them all by name. Not one is missing” (40:26)
He calls all 300 sextillion +, by their names

14 earth in a measure” (Isaiah 40:12)
“Calculated the dust of the earth in a measure” (Isaiah 40:12)

15 “Weighed the mountains in scales” (Isaiah 40:12)

16 in a balance” (Isaiah 40:12)
“Weighed the hills in a balance” (Isaiah 40:12)

17 Did God consult anyone on how to create and control all of this?
#2 Did God consult anyone on how to create and control all of this? Isaiah 40:13-14 Who has directed the Spirit of the Lord, Or as His counselor has taught Him?14 With whom did He take counsel, and who instructed Him, And taught Him in the path of justice? Who taught Him knowledge, And showed Him the way of understanding?

18 Did God consult anyone on how to create and control all of this?
God needs no direction from man. No one can counsel or instruct God. No one can show God the way of understanding.

19 God is over the Nations of the Earth
#3 God is over the Nations of the Earth Isaiah 40:15-17

20 drop in a bucket” (Isaiah 40:15)
“Nations are as a drop in a bucket” (Isaiah 40:15)

21 “Nations are counted as small dust on a balance” (Isaiah 40:15)

22 Psalm 2:1-4 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing
Psalm 2:1-4 Why do the nations rage, and the people plot a vain thing? 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying, 3 “Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us.”4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision.NKJV Psalm 2:8-9 Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them to pieces like a potter’s vessel.’ ” NKJV

23 God Has All Power Over All the Earth and All Nations of the Earth
Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

24 To Whom Will You Liken God?
#4 Isaiah 46:5 “To whom will you liken Me, and make Me equal and compare Me, that we should be alike?

25 God Is Not Like Idols Isaiah 44:13-17 Isaiah 41:7 Isaiah 44:10

26 God Is Not Like Idols Idolatry is condemned.

27 Exodus 20:4-5 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, NKJV

28 1 Corinthians 10:14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. NKJV
Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.NKJV

29 God Is Not Like Idols Idolatry is condemned. God is not like man.
Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,  Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts. Psalm 50:21 These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes.

30 God Is Not Like Idols Isaiah 40:26-28
Idolatry is condemned. God is not like man. Peoples of the earth are like grasshoppers in His sight. (40:22) A look at the size and dimension of the universe puts this statement into perspective. Isaiah 40:26-28

31 ISAIAH TELLS US THAT GOD IS THE MIGHTY
DELIVERER #5 Isaiah 44:28 – 45:6 God saw the future deliverance of His people. He spoke of Cyrus, king of Persia, 150 years before his time. See Ezra 1:1-4; Jeremiah 25:11-12

32 #5 Not Only Does Isaiah Tell Us That God Would Deliver His People From Earthly Oppression, He Will Deliver Us From Spiritual Oppression Isaiah 53

33 Matthew 28:7 “And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead…”

34 I am amazed that the Almighty God has placed His people at the centerpiece of everything in the universe.
