A participial phrase is a participle enhanced by an adverb/ adverb phrase/ accompanied by a complement. Entire phrase acts as an adjective.

4. Difference between a Verb and Participle
Verb – shows an action, a condition, or the fact that something exists.
Participle – acts as an adjective that enhances a noun or pronoun.

Participle is placed directly under the noun or pronoun that it modifies.
Participle starts on a slanted line and continues along a horizontal line that extends from the slanted line.
Adverbs and adverb phrases that are part of the participial phrase are placed on diagonal lines under the horizontal line.
