A fastener that is held in place by spreading one or both ends

Rivets The rivet is used to fasten structural and sheet steel in bridges buildings and truck bodies The rivet is inserted in a pre drilled hole the straight side is then heated and is smashed with a hammer to make it so that the rivet will not come out.
