1 The Future Work of Christ
Christology The Future Work of Christ

2 Covenants Fulfilled The Abrahamic Covenant was unconditional. (Gen. 12:1-3 ; 13;14-17; 15:4-7; 17:1-8 God promised Abraham that a nation would descend from him with whom God would have an eternal relationship. Even though for the present that relationship is strained at best, there will come a day when Israel will be restored to the favored position promised.

3 The promise that the nations of the earth would be blessed through the lineage of Abraham was fulfilled in the person and work of Christ on the cross. Finally the promise of a perpetual ownership of the land of Palestine has yet to be completely fulfilled. It is abundantly clear that one day Israel will be restored to the ownership and occupation of the entire original grant. Much blood has been and will continue to shed in Palestine until the Lord Jesus Christ finally and eternally installs the earthly people of God in the land.

4 The Davidic Covenant was unconditional. (2 Sam. 7:12-16, 25-29 ; Psa
The Davidic Covenant was unconditional. (2 Sam. 7:12-16, ; Psa. 89:1-4; 21-37) Christ is the final fulfillment of the Davidic Covenant. He will sit upon the throne of Israel in Jerusalem. The throne of the Millennial kingdom is the throne of David. (Rev. 22:16)

5 The New Covenant is unconditional
The New Covenant is unconditional. In a coming day God will do a work among His earthly people that will mirror the work which He is now doing in the New Testament Church. (Jer. 31:31-34;32:36-41) This will be part of the work of Christ in His coming at the end of the Tribulation Period in which there will be a national conversion. (Eze. 20:33-37 ; Rom. 11;25-29)

6 Judgments Rendered Before eternity future can commence all of the unresolved issues of time must be addressed. This means that Christ will exercise final judgment on every individual in general and upon groups in particular. The Church at the Judgment Seat of Christ – 1 Cor. 3:11-15; Rom. 14:10-12; 2 Cor. 5:10. Israel in the wilderness – Eze. 20:33-37.

7 Antichrist and the False prophet – Rev. 19:20
Satan – Rev. 20:10 The unsaved of the ages – Rev. 20:11-14

8 Authorities Established
Human rebellion against authority is as old the Fall. The usurpation of authority is as old as Satan’s rebellion against God in heaven. In the present and immediate future these issues continue and will escalate. Antichrist will attempt to usurp the throne of David by proclaiming himself to be God on a throne in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem (2 Th. 2).

9 The kings of the earth will be caught up in the mass deception of the Tribulation Period and seek dominion , finally gathering at Armageddon. Here Christ will smash human authority forever (Rev. 19). He will exercise authority over Satan putting him in the bottomless pit for the duration of the Millennium. New Testament saints will be given authority as they rule with Christ during the Millennium (Luke 19:12-27) and will even participate in the judgment of angels (1 Cor. 6:3). Ultimately it is the authority of Christ that will prevail above all and upon all. (1 Cor. 15:20-25)

10 Resurrections Completed
Obviously believers look forward to the resurrection both for themselves and their departed friends and loved ones (1 Th. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15; 2 Cor. 5:1-9) There will also be a raising of the unbelievers (Revelation 20:5) for the purpose of their final judgment.

11 Eternity Initiated He who was the active agent in the initial creation of the earth will also be active in the new creation of the planet. (Isa. 65:17; Rev. 21:1-8) Heaven and earth merge in the holy Jerusalem descended from heaven and there on the earth the redeemed of all the ages reside with God forever.
