Electricity (right) Electricity or Electrical energy describes how kinetic and potential energy are present in electrical circuits Atoms include positive protons and negative electrons. The interaction between these particles is called the electromagnetic force --Like charges repel, opposite charges attract 3. Static electricity involves separation of electric charges outside of a closed circuit. Ex) lightening, small “static shocks” Current electricity is the movement of electric charges in a closed circuit. Ex) what lights our houses What is electricity? How do electrical charges act? What is the difference between static and current electricity?
