2 Purpose The purpose of the heads or tails machine is to eventually flip a coin as the result of a series of energy transferals.

3 Summary of Conversions
1. PE to KE-1st golf ball 2. Elastic collision with wall- 1st golf ball stops, 2nd golf ball absorbs KE 3. PE to KE- 2nd golf ball enters tube and falls 4. Momentum of 2nd golf ball is transferred to quarter when it hits fulcrum

4 Step 1 Golf ball rests against trap door until door is removed

5 Step 2 1st golf ball rolls down ramp and stops when it hits wall

6 Step 3 Elastic collision, 2nd golf ball absorbs KE of 1st and rolls toward tube

7 Step 4 2nd golf ball falls down tube

8 Step 5 2nd golf ball strikes fulcrum and launches quarter

9 Heads or Tails Call it in the Air!
