Cinderella Pantomime
2
Outline “Cinderella” is a millennium forum production that will begin in December. It was in 1820 that the first real pantomime version of 'Cinderella' opened at Covent Garden. Entitled 'Harlequin and Cinderella, or the little glass slipper' it featured Grimaldi as the Baron's wife. In the same year the Rossini opera 'La Cenerentola' had premiered in London, introducing the characters of the Baron and the Prince's servant, Dandini. For the film that we will make, we intend to interview the actors in the production and record a voice over to explain the story.

Treatment Most of our crew will be equipped with a DSLR and a tripod which will make this shoot a multi-camera production. Having this many cameras will allow us to cover a lot more ground and get the shots we need for the final edit.

Potential Interviewees
For interviews, we intend to interview the main cast members that are listed below: Cinderella The Ugly sisters The Fairy God Mother Tbd

Schedule/Crew/Equipment
we will be using the college’s JVC HD cameras, DSLRS, Steady Cam, GoPro and Microphones to film interview with the cast members of the pantomime. we have made contact with Amanda McLoone, who works for the millennium forum, and she will organize interviews during the casts free time, this will be conducted in the beginning of December. we will require a crew to help me film the interviews which will be done in the Millennium forum, Derry – Londonderry. This is where the pantomime will take place in December. Our plan will to film the interviews when rehearsals are taking place.

Permissions, safety and travel.
We all have been given permission to film in the Millennium Forum, Derry – Londonderry. The filming will take place mainly in the Millennium Forum and through the entrance and outside where the audience will enter night the pantomime takes place. The Millennium Forum is very near to college and is in walking distance so no money is needed for taxis etc. A the equipment being used is from college, we will need a risk assessment to insure that the equipment does not get damaged whilst in production. The main theatre has lots of of steps and inclines so we will have to watch our footing on the night to insure our safety and the equipment's safety.

Presenter & Writer - Alex McCloskey
I have decided to take the role of presenter and writer on this project. Our project aims to highlight the great work and ethos behind the Millennium Forum’s Pantomime while also informing and promoting the show for future years. Because of this I feel that my presentation and writing is key in delivering the tone and message across to our viewers.

Presenter & Writer - Alex McCloskey
I will need to write a script for myself as a voiceover, which I will create during and post recording of the show which I will then work with Jake our editor to put into our finished project. I will also write a script for the questions we will ask the stars post-performance and also perhaps for audience members and others involved in the pantomime production to get as much info on the project as possible

Director & Camera Operator –Johnny Ray Brolly
For this project I will be taking on the role of director and along side this I’ll be doing some camera operation work as well. With our combined efforts all of us will be working towards the completion of a promotional video for the Millenium Forum’s “Cinderella” Pantomime. The final product is something that we all want the Millenium Forum to be very pleased with. We want to have a final product that provides insight into the behind the scenes of the panto and most importantly persuades potential customers to attend the show. A big part of my role as director for this project, is guiding our collaborative efforts during this project’s production.

Director & Camera Operator –Johnny Ray Brolly
Seeing as there’s several aspects of work that go into this production, such as writing, presentation, camera work and editing, it’s important to have someone that will guide these efforts and maintain communication between team members so that we will end up with a cohesive final product. During the shoot I’ll provide direction and communicate with my fellow crew members and the cast and crew of the panto to ensure that we maintain focus and capture all the footage we need. In addition to my role as the director of this project I’ll also be shooting footage of the panto itself. Our crew will be using multiple cameras in order to capture as much footage as we can for when we enter the editing process.

Main Camera Operator and Co Director- Eli Doherty
For this production I have taken on the role as main camera operator as well as co-director. My main focus will be to capture the Millenium Forum’s “Cinderella” Pantomime and the atmosphere of the people watching to create a promotional video for the Millenium forum. My role as a co-director is also very important for me to focus on as it helps give the crew some extra direction and creative ideas that we can utilise on the shoots.

Main Camera Operator and Co Director- Eli Doherty
As a co-director I will have to help support the main director in anyway I can to relieve some of the main directing stress making our team a lot more functional. For my main camera operating role It will be my responsibility to capture the most important parts of the show while the other camera operators can focus on cutaways and other shots. My main goal for this shoot is to provide a industry standard advert for the Millenium Forum’s “Cinderella”. I feel like this goal will be very achievable as I have a great team making it along with me.

Editor and Co-Writer: Jake Bradley
In this production, I have taken up the role as the editor. It will be my job to use the footage and narration properly to achieve the tone that we are aiming for in the project. The aim of the video is promoting and informing people about the panto, so the final video must have a consistent theme achieved through editing. Colour and pace of the footage along side with the audio and music will give me control over the tine so I can hone it to way we want it.

Editor and Co-Writer: Jake Bradley
I will also be assisting Alex with the writing of the production so that I can give input from an editors point of view, and the same with Eli and Johnny when they are filming. While writing with Alex I can also give insight that I got from helping with the production last year, so we can improve upon work that has already been laid out as a plan.
