1 FILM TRAILERS The Making

2 Preproduction Monday & Tuesday
A trailer normally features at least 10 different parts of the film. What would the 10 best parts of your film be to use, in order to give the audience an idea of what to expect and make them want to see it? You will use the yellow storyboard sheet to draw out your ENTIRE trailer. It must be at least 90 seconds and no more than 2 minutes. Include on your storyboard the following: Start with the voice over – what will he/she say? Then think about what we need to see and hear while he/she is talking: Text / graphics / info Scenes from the film Characters Music Sound effects Dialogue from actors EVERY shot that you plan on including in the trailer in as much detail as you can

To the writers: Your task is to create a UNIQUE media production that is imaginative, creative and well organized. How you decide to “pitch” or present this production is up to you and your group. You teacher, who is the producer, is willing to spend their millions on your new idea, but they will only choose your production if all of the objectives have been met, and they deem your media production unique and of quality! Possible Ideas for final Presentation are as follows: Movie Poster Web Page Q & A-Brief explanation of your film and then take questions Your media production WILL NOT be presented in the form of a power point or Prezi format.
