3 CDOS Pathways for Graduation & Weighted Scores
CDOS CREDENTIAL *For students receiving special education services only REGENTS DIPLOMA CDOS 4+1 PATHWAY CTE PATHWAY Credit Requirements No minimum credit requirement Meet the minimum diploma requirement of 22 credits Required Regents Exams No Regents Exam Requirement but students must have access to Regents coursework Pass 5 required Regents Exams Pass the 4 required Regents Exams: Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies CTE Requirements A Career Plan completed each academic school year for 4 years A completed Employability Profile demonstrating commencement level in the CDOS Learning Standards Successful completion of at least 216 hours (2 credits) of CTE coursework Successful completion of 54 hours of work based learning None Successful completion of a CTE Program of Study Pass the 3 part technical assessment that has been approved by the Commissioner & Board of Regents Student Leaves With CDOS Credential, Stand Alone Credential (not a diploma) Regents Diploma Regents Diploma & CDOS Credential Regents Diploma & Technical Endorsement Weighted score .5 1.0 1.5 2.0

The SPED Case manager should assist the building designee for any student that has an IEP.

6 CTE COURSEWORK CREDIT Students must pass the required CTE course with a 65+ to meet successful completion CTE Courses that cannot be utilized towards the 2 Credits (216 Hours): Internship – Half Year (GI04G) Internship – Full Year (GI04M) College Prep (CI03G/CI04G/CI05G) A CTE course that is being used as an Art elective credit (DDP/Advertising Art) A CTE Course taught by a CTE teacher not certified for that course Ex. A certified Building Trades teacher teaching Marketing or a certified Business teacher teaching Welding A CTE course with a substitute teacher where the teacher of record is on extended absence for 2 or more Quarters A student added to a 1CR full year CTE course after the 2nd Quarter has ended or a 0.5CR half year CTE course after the 1st Quarter has ended

7 CTE COURSEWORK CREDIT CTE Program of Study CTE Electives
CTE Elective: A CTE course that a student takes independent of a CTE Program of Study Ex. A student at MST taking Web Design or Keyboarding; A 12th grade student placed in a 9th/10th grade CTE Program of Study A student who begins a CTE Program of Study in 9th grade but does not complete the program will be considered a student who has taken CTE as an elective Ex. A student at Burgard takes CFM-A , CFM-B, and Auto-10 but fails Auto 11 is no longer an active CTE student. All 54 hours of work-based learning for this student must be completed through community service/volunteering 4 consecutive years of CTE courses that follow specific sequence Ex. McKinley, Building Trades, Carpentry 9th = Exploratory Building Trades 10th = Carpentry 10 11th = Carpentry 11 12th = Carpentry 12 Includes Differentiated Program Sequences Students must complete & pass all four years of the program to be considered active CTE students

8 WORK- BASED LEARNING HOURS
Students Active in CTE Program of Study Students Using CTE Electives 54 total hours of work-based learning throughout 4-year program Job Shadowing, Service Learning, School Based Enterprise, Community Service, Paid/Unpaid Internship Hours tracked by CTE Teacher/WBL Coordinator Paid/Unpaid Internship Hours Must directly relate to CTE Program Work Experience Packet must be completed by CTE Teacher and on file with CTE Office Paystubs must be submitted for paid internships; Timesheets must be submitted for unpaid internships **WORK EXPERIENCE IN A JOB NOT RELATED TO THE CTE PROGRAM WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED. 54 total hours of work-based learning must be completed through community service/volunteering unless hours are entered by the current CTE teacher Completed at a non-profit Hours must be documented on CTE Volunteer Form or non-profit letterhead and submitted to CTE Office Tracked by building designee as assigned by the principal **WORK EXPERIENCE PACKETS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY STUDENT NOT IN A REGISTERED CTE PROGRAM.

9 NEW ONLINE TRACKING SYSTEM
All documentation must be logged into the new online CDOS data tracking system available on SharePoint CTE teachers, SPED teachers, and guidance counselors will have access Training materials will be provided Career Plan, Employability Profile, and Work-Based Learning Tracking Log must all be completed in this system Ability to scan and upload documentation directly to each student 900# once available WBL Coordinators are able to review inputted data and approve/deny The building designee as assigned by the principal will be responsible for tracking the completion of CDOS requirements for any student not active in a CTE program of study
