After having read “A Simple One-step Plan to Solve the Education Crisis: A Message to the President and the Congress,” write a 1 ½ to 2 page critique essay answering the following question: is this argument credible?
Note that basically you are judging the quality of the argument that the author presents, not arguing for or against his idea.
The critique will follow standard essay format with the following exceptions: the introduction will consist of a brief summary of the argument followed by your thesis. The body will then explain why you think the argument is credible or not—note that you will need to use evidence from the argument to back up your reasoning. Your conclusion, then, should echo your thesis and bring the essay to a close.
