Hosea 8:12

2. Hosea 8:11-14
11Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.
12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the Lord accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

3. Look what they did.. Israel would not read and listen to what
God had written!.
Look what they did..

4. Hosea 8: 1 because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.

5. Hosea 8: 4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.

6. Hosea 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up

They were full of Idolatry!

10. Luke 10:26
He (Jesus) said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?

Man seems to have always had a problem with obeying what God has written

13. What does God say to all members?
1. Husbands..love your wives. Eph.5:25
2. Wives..submit unto your husbands. Eph.5: 22-23
3. Parents..Eph. 6:4 Remember what Abraham did.
Deut.6:5-6; Prov.22:6 ; (Gen.18:19)
4. Children…Eph. 6:1;Honor your parents! Eph.6:2
5. All - Be faithful to God. Rev. 2:10; I Cor. 15:58

14. God has written in his law for us today to
1. Hear the Word of God. Rom. 10:17
2. Believe what is preached. Mark 16:15- 16
3. Repent. Acts 2:38
4. Confess Jesus as Lord. Mtt. 10:32,33
5. Be baptized for the remission of your sins Acts22:16
6. Remain faithful. Rev. 2:10; 2 Tim.4:7-8
